Job Responsibilities

  • Manage heavy call and email volume in a professional and timely manner
  • Administer elevated service programs including customer reporting and communication processes for specific customers
  • Assists internal and external customers with information or document requests
  • Partners with the sales team to meet and exceed customer service expectations
  • Assists in maintaining and monitoring electronic data for customers
  • Operates inventory control, word processing, and spreadsheet applications for customers
  • Generates correspondence to secure additional customer information to resolve customer disputes
  • Responsible for regular attendance and promptness
  • Assists other departments as needed
  • ALL OTHER DUTIES AND PROJECTS AS ASSIGNED.

Job Requirements

  • (The following are representative of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, or ability required for this position)
  • 1-2 years of customer service experience in an office environment with emphasis in transportation or freight forwarding preferred
  • Ability to type minimum of (40) words per minute, 10-key by touch and a high level of accuracy is required
  • Moderate to advanced knowledge of customer service practices
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to assist in all areas of warehouse and administrative operations
  • Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as MS Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Knowledge of standard office administrative practices and procedures
  • Willing and able to work with all personality types in a professional, effective manner
  • Ability to multitask and perform well in a fast-paced, fluid environment where tasks change quickly
  • Adapt to new processes quickly and streamline current processes as necessary
  • Analytical ability is desired
  • Bilingual preferred, English/Spanish
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
  • Must have the ability to proficiently read, write and speak the English language
  • Have the ability to effectively communicate, present information, and respond to questions from colleagues, customers and the general public
  • Must know how to communicate effectively for instruction and/or guidance verbally and in writing
  • Must have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations professionally
  • Must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
