Job Responsibilities
- Read blueprints: Welders read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and specifications to determine the welding method and equipment to use.
- Measure and calculate: Welders measure and calculate the dimensions of parts to be welded.
- Inspect: Welders inspect the materials and structures to be welded.
- Weld: Welders use manual or semi-automatic equipment to weld components in various positions.
- Repair: Welders repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps.
- Maintain: Welders maintain welding equipment and machinery
